i always like telling my experience at places. kmns - kolej matrikulasi negeri sembilan. 3 weeks + 2 days... kinda fun.
i never, ever planned to go to matrix. i wanted to go to um or uitm or uiam for pre-degree or degree.... hehe... coz i'm not interested in diploma. but when i didnt get upu - i had no choice. on thursday nite after realizing i had to go to matrix i was all gloomy... got lots of reasons for it. then 4 days later, it was 15th may - and so i had to reluctantly go and register at the matriculation. it was a hectic day, i juz created my bsn account that morning. i actually had a morning session registration, but went to register there at about 3 pm instead. not too far from my own home - maybe less than an hour. i've been used to going to kuala pilah, kampungku di situ!
but thinking back about it now, it is kinda cool. i took life science there, (sains hayat), we had a mentor-mentee group which was similar to my homeroom system in mrsm bpj, and the practicum group which is like our permanent classmate group. we had a week of orientation week, which made us ALL so miserable, with barely enough time to rest or even eat - we'd practically starve especially at nite, leaving us with no energy to go through the activities the facilitators (the previous kmns students - our seniors) had arranged for us. had to once wake up at 1am after sleeping for barely an hour, got punished by the facies doing lotsa ridiculous stuff - only to go back to sleep at 3.30am. kak hai was the most memorable faci, tall girl faci who talks a lot, loves to yell, not to mention loves to scold and punish, but i respect her and like her nonetheless. also met a girl faci who knew my name on the registration day - apparently my senior at my old school who knew my sister too. but couldnt have much chance to talk to her much. and i managed to chat quite a bit to another girl faci named kak faz when we were eating at cafe D during recess time, who told me and my mentor-mentee mates quite a bit more about kmns.
mentor-mentee actually reminded me of my homeroom a lot - also of my kenegaraan class of plkn... coz the activities were kinda similar. cikgu nik, my mentor, is quite a funny man. another math teacher, also kinda easy-going. till my last day at kmns, i'm not sure if he ever really remembered who i was - his mentee - even when i met him at the math unit to tell him i was leaving college, to thank him and tell him goodbye. my mentee mates - are quite funny themselves - most of them are quite quiet. me, was probably quiet too - but u know me - i'm the girl who loves to tease and be ridiculous in my own quiet way, which led people to actually say "if ni takde perasaan... buat lawak ke cakap ape2 pun muka sama je... diam tapi jahat" i could only smile...
practicum was great too - at first it was all boring. but after few days we grew closer, people talked more, laughed more! and we get more practicum members from physical science (sains fizikal) course who switched to life science, and entered our group - H1P3. we all managed to talk well with each other... joke well too! missing them already. i'd remember my math teacher the most, cikgu fadzli, who kinda inspired me the very last minute b4 i left the college. he teaches very fast in lecture classes, but i'm very glad i always manage to catch-up. he's fast but understandable. also funny :) on my last day last week on tuesday, i didnt go to class at all but managed to meet up with him at the math unit to ask a few math Qs b4 i leave the college - although i was planning to meet cikgu nik at 1st, but cikgu nik had a class. cikgu fadzli was at his desk - i was the only student there at 9 am. i actually had to fill in my name at a form he gave to me for students who came to him to ask math Qs. he answered my Qs in detail, gave me stuff to think of to make me understand the real concept of the Qs i asked. he said he teaches fast in lectures to challenge his students, "saya nak train student saya... biar diorang tabah..." haha, not sure of the real words he said, no matter how weird they sound, but they were inspiring to me. he's a unique math teacher!
roommates were memorable too, since we spent lots of time with them. even the girls at the front of our room were great as well. we laughed a lot with each other, tell stuff to 1 another, help out with studies etc... one day after a lecture class, i got a msg from dad, telling me that i got the mara offer to australia doing biotechnology, (australian matriculation- ausmat) and i have to 1st go to intec uitm shah alam, which was something i never expected to get! heh, but overall at kmns there were the ups and downs, pros and cons, bad and good etc... nothing can be as perfect as anyone could ever wanted it to be, but after going through the tough experience, i learned to accept things/people the way they are, look at the positive side, then things didnt turn out to be too bad at all ;)
positive thinking... always helps. for the negative side, i always use it to tease people... :P makes life fun!
